Riverain releases lung cancer detection tool

Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer Riverain Medical of Miamisburg, OH, announced the release of In Unison, designed to assist in the detection of lung nodules.

In Unison integrates Riverain's SoftView enhanced chest imaging and OnGuard chest x-ray CAD technologies. SoftView software analyzes chest x-rays to produce a bone-suppressed soft-tissue image to permit visualization of about 40% of the lung tissue usually obscured by bone. OnGuard identifies solitary pulmonary nodules using CAD capabilities.

With In Unison, these technologies are automatically presented as a SoftView image with OnGuard CAD markings, without interrupting workflow, according to the company.
