Speech recognition and software developer Nuance Communications has introduced its PowerScribe 360 system at this week's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
PowerScribe 360 combines the best capabilities of PowerScribe and RadWhere into a unified system, according to the Burlington, MA-based vendor. The new system offers improved speech recognition accuracy with radiology-specific language models to ensure a low word-error rate and minimized editing time. It also comes with structured report templates, including the RSNA's best practice radiology templates, autoformatting, voice commands, and other options for customized user profiles, interface views, report queue prioritization, system access, and more.
PowerScribe 360 seamlessly integrates with Nuance's entire radiology product portfolio and supports workstations with 64-bit OS, as well as the latest technologies, including Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008, Microsoft Windows 7, Internet Explorer 8.0, Microsoft Cluster Services (MSCS), and VMware.
PowerScribe 360 is being demonstrated in Nuance's RSNA booth and is available for purchase immediately. A special license conversion pricing program is available for existing PowerScribe and RadWhere customers who want to migrate to PowerScribe 360. The company will continue to actively support PowerScribe 4.x and 5.0 and RadWhere 3.0 according to its standard service and support policies, Nuance noted.
