Vital Images unveils Vitrea 6.0

Advanced visualization firm Vital Images of Minnetonka, MN, unveiled Vitrea Enterprise Suite (VES) version 6.0 at this year's RSNA meeting in Chicago.

The platform is designed to separate rendering, processing, and data storage to provide sustained quality of service for clinicians, regardless of the number of simultaneous users or data load on the system. This modular platform is scalable to meet specific imaging needs and complements virtualization strategies to support increased productivity, reduced costs, and simplified disaster recovery, according to the company.

New clinical features include Dynamic MR and Oncology Fusion, which allows users to visualize, quantify, and track tumors using fused CT, MR, PET, and SPECT images.

The new multichamber cardiovascular feature is designed to enable comprehensive assessment of cardiovascular function and anatomic structures for both adults and pediatric patients. The endovascular stent planning application also has been enhanced.
