PeerVue adds dose management features

Software developer PeerVue will highlight new radiation dose management features at next week's RSNA meeting in Chicago.

PeerVue's Radiation Dose Management System now calculates a patient's total estimated dose prior to an ionizing radiation procedure and notifies designated parties if the dose exceeds a predetermined threshold when added to the patient's existing cumulative estimated dose history, according to the Sarasota, FL-based vendor.

The Radiation Dose Management System will be included with the firm's Qualitative Intelligence and Communication System (QICS), which is also set to debut at the RSNA meeting. QICS integrates with existing HIS, RIS, and PACS software, PeerVue said.
