Hitachi names Canada distributor

Hitachi Medical Systems America has tapped Horizon Medical Services to be its exclusive MRI and CT sales and service representative in Canada.

Horizon of Mississauga, Ontario, will initially market the Twinsburg, OH-based vendor's 1.5-tesla Echelon system, 1.2-tesla Oasis Open system, and the 64-slice Scenaria CT scanner. Hitachi will introduce Scenaria, which has not yet been licensed for sale in Canada, at next month's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
