Lumisys has announced that CEO Dr. Phillip Berman has been elected CEO of the firm’s online radiology community subsidiary, AuntMinnie.com. Berman, who is relinquishing his president and CEO posts at Lumisys, made the move to focus on maximizing the shareholder value of AuntMinnie.com, according to Lumisys.
Since its launch at the 1999 RSNA meeting, AuntMinnie.com has signed up more than 12,000 registered users and generates more than 500,000 page views per month. In addition, over 500 users complete the site’s Case of the Day each day, Lumisys reported.
Berman will remain a member of the board of directors of Sunnyvale, CA-based Lumisys. Lumisys founder and chairman Dr. Bala Manian will serve as acting CEO. In other Lumisys news, CFO Dean MacIntosh has been promoted to executive vice president. She will also continue in her CFO role.
