Ohio radiologist's license suspension upheld pending appeal hearing

A judge recently upheld the Ohio Medical Board's decision to strip a radiologist's license while he appeals, saying that he cannot continue practicing during the appeal process, according to a report by WTOL11.

The medical board stripped the license of Wade Banker, a radiologist based in Maumee, Ohio, while he appeals in Ohio's 10th District Court of Appeals. Banker's license was stripped in April 2023 after allegations of improper patient care surfaced, including during plastic surgeries, the station reported.

Banker in his appeal stated that he cannot obtain jobs in other states where he has a radiology license. His hearing is set for April 3, according to WTOL11.
