Boston Scientific, Philips announce cath deal

May 14, 2012 -- Interventional technology developer Boston Scientific and Philips Healthcare announced that Philips will sell Boston Scientific's imaging equipment in conjunction with its Allura Xper catheterization lab systems.

Boston Scientific's iLab ultrasound imaging system, a platform for utilizing the company's imaging catheters, is compatible and can be integrated with all major x-ray systems including Allura Xper. The agreement enables Philips to offer its customers an integrated imaging solution that is compatible with current and next-generation Boston Scientific imaging catheters.

The collaborative sales agreement is global in scope, according to the companies.
