Imaging vet Ho joins Delphinus board

Imaging veteran Ron Ho has joined the board of directors of tomographic ultrasound developer Delphinus Medical Technologies.

Ho has held multiple executive positions over 20 years in the medical imaging industry, the company said. He was president and CEO of U-Systems, which developed the somo.v automated breast ultrasound (ABUS) system and was later acquired by GE Healthcare.

Delphinus has developed SoftVue, a breast ultrasound system that utilizes ring transducer technology to transmit and receive ultrasound signals. The company hopes the technology can improve breast cancer screening and also help differentiate malignant and benign breast masses.

The company believes that Ho's experience in securing the first U.S. regulatory approval for a breast ultrasound screening indication will help the firm as it moves SoftVue to commercialization, according to chairman Paul McCreadie.
