HIT Global enters Chinese market

Canadian continuing medical education firm HIT Global announced it will be selling continuing medical education (CME) courses to more than 2 million healthcare professionals working in China through a joint venture.

HIT Global is working with C-CME, an organization reporting to the Chinese Ministry of Health, to form HIT iMed. This company will provide performance improvement programs, outcomes measurement services, electronically delivered CME courses, and electronic survey services.

Negotiations to create the joint venture company have been under way for three years. HIT iMed's headquarters will be in Shanghai.
