DALSA introduces new CCD image sensors

Canadian digital imaging developer DALSA of Waterloo, Ontario, has released a new family of CCD image sensors, the company announced.

DALSA's line of full-frame CCD sensors now include a 12-megapixel image sensor, as well as upgrades to its current range of 4- and 6-megapixel sensors. The 12-megapixel FTF3041M and 6-megapixel FTF3021M full-frame CCD sensors offer a choice between two high-speed dual-output registers that use different output amplifiers, to achieve either a high signal conversion gain or full-well capacity for signal-to-noise ratio during long exposure times.

The company's 4-megapixel FTF2021M is a full-frame sensor with four outputs, one at each corner of the image area, that support single, dual, or quad parallel output for image capture at video speeds.
