Konica Minolta to launch software, DR detectors at RSNA 2017

Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas plans to introduce new image processing software and two new AeroDR HD wireless flat-panel digital radiography (DR) detectors at the upcoming RSNA 2017 meeting.

The image processing package, Realism, helps visualize soft tissue and bony structures, enhancing x-ray image sharpness and contrast, the company said. It improves workflow efficiency by allowing visualization of soft tissue and bone simultaneously.

The firm will also introduce two new DR detectors at the meeting: a 10 x 12-inch detector designed for imaging fine structures such as extremities, and a 17 x 17-inch detector for larger anatomical areas. All of Konica Minolta's AeroDR HD panels give users the option to switch between high definition (HD) and high dynamic range (HDR) imaging, according to the company.
