Interventional radiology market expected to grow

The global interventional radiology market is expected to reach $23.5 billion by 2021, according to a new report from MarketsandMarkets.

The market had an estimated value of $17 billion in 2016, the company said. The advance would represent a compound annual growth rate of 6.7% over the next four years.

The report noted the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, greater demand for minimally invasive procedures, and technological advancements as factors supporting the rosy forecast.
