Carestream ships new DR detectors

Carestream Health has begun to ship its new DRX Core detectors, designed for digital radiography (DR) use by imaging centers, small to midsized hospitals, urgent care facilities, specialty clinics, and providers of mobile imaging.

The DRX Core portfolio includes wireless gadolinium and cesium scintillators in 35 x 43-cm and 43 x 43-cm sizes and fixed 43 x 43-cm detectors with both scintillators.

DRX Core detectors can be used with Carestream's DRX-Ascend system, DRX-Mobile retrofit kits, and DRX-Motion mobile x-ray system. The detectors are available in the U.S. and Canada, as well as countries in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, although the DRX-Motion system is not yet available in North America.
