Global x-ray detector market to reach $3B by 2021

The global market for digital x-ray detectors is expected to reach $3 billion by 2021, up from $2 billion in 2016, according to a new report from Research and Markets.

The compound annual growth rate for the market will be 5.5% during the forecast period, the company said.

Technological advancements will drive the market's growth, as well as an increasingly elderly population, government and venture capital funding, a rising number of orthopedic and cardiovascular procedures, and reimbursement cuts for analog systems, Research and Markets said.
