Medtronic sees Q3 revenue growth

Interventional device developer Medtronic reported increased revenue for its third quarter (end-January 23).

The company's revenue increased 4% to $4.3 billion, compared with $4 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2014. Third-quarter net earnings increased 10% to $977 million, compared with $762 million in the same quarter of 2014.

The company completed its acquisition of Covidien on January 26. It is forecasting revenue growth of 4% to 6% for the remainder of the 2015 fiscal year.
