Imaging services provider Diagnostic Imaging International (DIIG) has completed the purchase of a CT scanner and an x-ray system for its Schuylkill Medical Imaging (SMI) location.
SMI purchased a 16-slice Aquilion CT scanner from Toshiba America Medical Systems and a digital radiography unit from Viztek. Both systems are expected to be installed prior to the end of this month and in use by August, DIIG said.
A wholly owned subsidiary of DIIG, SMI serves patients and medical care providers in Schuylkill County, PA.
