Toshiba rolls out new angio system

Toshiba America Medical Systems has launched a new x-ray angiography system for interventional cardiology.

Infinix Essential features an off-center C-arm design that allows steep angulations for vessel profiling during cardiac interventions, the firm said. The system also comes with a set of dose management optimizing tools, including spot fluoroscopy, radiation dose tracking, and advanced image processing protocols.

Toshiba is also repositioning its line of existing cardiovascular x-ray systems as Infinix Select and Infinix Elite, the firm said. The systems are available with Toshiba's dose reduction technologies and a software upgrade recently cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
