West Physics acquires Medical Physics Services

Medical and health physics consulting firm West Physics has acquired Medical Physics Services (MPS) of Daphne, AL.

MPS provides diagnostic medical physics testing and consulting services in Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi, according to West Physics. The transaction, effective April 1, expands West Physics' client base in the southeastern U.S. and allows MPS founder and owner Dr. Michael Williams to retire.

West Physics will continue to provide MPS' existing services, including mammography, radiography, and fluoroscopy testing, as well as nuclear medicine regulatory auditing. West Physics will also offer services not provided by MPS, such as MRI, CT, and nuclear medicine/PET accreditation support; dose reduction consulting; and MRI safety auditing.
