Thales debuts two new products

French technology company Thales Group introduced two new digital radiography (DR) detectors at the recent RSNA annual meeting.

The Velizy-Villacoublay-based company showed its new Duet DRF 4343 high-resolution multipurpose digital detector for fluoroscopy, angiography, and general radiography exams.

The system features a Pixium RF 4343 multipurpose x-ray detector and a digital acquisition and processing workstation. It handles image acquisition, calibration, formatting, and advanced postprocessing from one console.

Thales also showed its new PrestoDR digital radiography package, designed to deliver images within four to five seconds for enhanced productivity.

PrestoDR features one or two Pixium detectors and a digital workstation, and it interfaces with an x-ray generator, collimator, and dose management modules.

It is available in a variety of configurations and uses one or two flat-panel displays, either a fixed 17 x 17-inch Pixium RAD 4600 detector or a soon-to-be-available 14 x 17-inch Pixium Portable 3543 WiFi or wired detector.
