Vidar releases new software

Film digitizer vendor Vidar Systems has released version 4.1 of its ClinicalExpress digitizer software.

The CE-MDD edition of its DICOM film acquisition software, ClinicalExpress 4.1 is available in English, German, Spanish, and Italian, according to the Herndon, VA-based vendor. While the key feature of the software is targeted at the European market, the software was developed to allow prior or outside films to be integrated into soft-copy reading workflow, Vidar said.

It can support both general radiography sites as well as low- to midvolume mammography digitization, according to the company. It also provides automatic segmentation of CT and MR images, scanning of 51-inch spinal films, and support for the DICOM PDI and modality worklist standards.
