Carestream lands ultrasound, x-ray order in Midwest

Carestream Health has sold ultrasound and x-ray systems to Covenant Medical Center, a multispecialty hospital in Waterloo, IA.

The vendor installed two Touch Prime XE ultrasound systems, while a third Touch Prime XE scanner was placed at Mercy Hospital, an affiliated critical access hospital in Oelwein, IA. In addition, Carestream said it has delivered its DRX-Evolution Plus digital radiography (DR) system to Covenant's emergency department. The DR system has a wall stand with a fixed detector, while a DRX Plus 3543 detector is used in the table and for tabletop exams, according to the vendor.

Covenant has also purchased a small-format DRX 2530C detector for extremity and pediatric exams, as well as for imaging in the operating suites, according to the company. The institution previously installed two DRX-Revolution mobile x-ray systems for portable imaging and also employed DRX detectors to retrofit several x-ray systems, Carestream said.
