Carestream Health has installed its DRX-Evolution Plus digital radiography (DR) system in the emergency department at Columbus Regional Health in Columbus, IN.

The DR system features a wall stand on a rail with a fixed detector, along with the company's wireless DRX Plus 3543 detector for tabletop exams.

The installation is part of an expansion to double the size of the facility's emergency department, which has more than 47,000 patient visits a year, Carestream said.

The hospital previously installed a Carestream DRX-Revolution mobile x-ray system for portable imaging and retrofitted an existing mobile imaging system and a general radiology room with Carestream DRX detectors.
