Agfa to show mobile DR upgrades at RSNA 2015

Agfa HealthCare plans to showcase new features on its mobile digital radiography (DR) systems at RSNA 2015.

Among the enhancements is the company's new FreeView telescopic arm, which can be collapsed when moved from one location to another and extended again at the patient's bedside. The arm is designed for use in critical care and surgical suites in which overhead equipment has been installed.

Agfa will also show new detectors, which are available with cesium iodide or gadolinium oxysulfide technology. The detectors offer high detective quantum efficiency (DQE) and spatial resolution and are available in imaging sizes of 14 x 17 inches and 10 x 12 inches, the company said.

In addition, a new charger is available that allows both sizes of detector batteries to be charged at the same time, even during use.
