Toshiba to launch Ultimax-i FPD at RSNA 2015

Toshiba America Medical Systems plans to launch Ultimax-i FPD, a new multipurpose radiography/fluoroscopy system, at the upcoming RSNA 2015 meeting in Chicago.

Designed to expand the capabilities of angiography labs, Ultimax-i FPD has a small footprint and can be installed adjacent to back walls to improve patient access without requiring major renovation, according to the vendor. The system can accommodate patients up to 500 lb on its table, and its flat-panel detector provides full-spectrum detection with 43 x 43 cm of coverage, Toshiba said.
