Unfors RaySafe debuts radiation survey sensor

Testing-instruments provider Unfors RaySafe has unveiled a new radiation survey sensor for its RaySafe X2 x-ray measurement system.

The RaySafe X2 Survey sensor provides survey measurements in the x-ray energy range and adds the ability to perform leakage and scatter measurements in diagnostic x-ray applications, according to the vendor. The silicon-based sensor has both manual and automatic trigger modes, which allows it to capture low-dose-rate measurements in an x-ray machine's primary beam, Unfors RaySafe said.

The sensor can also switch energy response between air kerma and ambient dose equivalent, the company said.
