ACR, AAPM release radiation safety resource

The American College of Radiology (ACR) and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) have released ACR-AAPM Radiation Safety Officer Resources, a new document designed to assist physicians and medical physicists who serve as radiation safety officers at medical facilities.

Developed jointly by medical physicists from the two organizations, the document explains, organizes, and provides links to essential federal and advisory resources. It also includes sample policies, procedures, and forms, according to ACR and AAPM.
