Konica Minolta, Shimadzu introduce integrated x-ray unit

Konica Minolta Medical Imaging and Shimadzu Medical Systems USA have announced a collaboration to offer a retrofit x-ray system consisting of a Shimadzu MobileArt Evolution system and Konica Minolta's AeroDR.

The system uses a 14 x 17-inch Konica Minolta flat-panel digital radiography (DR) detector, available in HQ and standard-resolution sizes. It is also available with an XE panel for extreme environments, or a smaller 10 x 12-inch HQ detector for pediatric or dual-panel applications.

The unit is the most recent introduction of DR systems that combine Shimadzu MobileArt Evolution portable x-ray technology and the Konica Minolta AeroDR wireless detector.
