Carestream wins NFL combine DR contract

Carestream Health's DRX-1 digital radiography (DR) detector will be used in an existing x-ray system at this month's 2015 National Football League (NFL) scouting combine.

As part of their evaluation at the combine, more than 300 athletes will undergo complete physicals at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Carestream is also working on new 3D medical imaging systems that could be used for diagnosing recreational sports enthusiasts of all types and professional athletes in collaboration with UBMD Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, the company said.
