PACS and x-ray system provider Meridian Medical Systems has released two new mobile imaging products: an x-ray unit and a digital radiography (DR) system.
The Paragon True-20 mobile x-ray system provides 20 kW of power throughout the exposure, Meridian said. Features include speed of up to 5 km per hour, a patented pressure-sensitive moving system, and a frontal and lateral anticollision system.
Meridian's mobile VX DR imaging system incorporates a low-dose cesium x-ray detector with automatic exposure detection. The system can be shared among multiple modalities, resulting in reduced wait times and faster procedures, Meridian said. Features include a 14 x 17-inch wireless flat-panel detector, 140-micron pixel size and 3.5 line pairs/mm resolution, and a maximum exposure time of four seconds.
The systems are available through Mikron Digital Imaging-Midwest, a national distributor for Meridian products.
