Shimadzu expands mobile DR portfolio in Canada

Shimadzu Medical Systems USA has expanded its product portfolio in Canada to include a new wireless digital radiography (DR) system.

The company's MobileDaRt Evolution Wireless system includes a high-resolution flat-panel detector integrated into a 32-kW generator. It is available with either a 42 x 42-cm gadolinium oxysulfide (GOS) detector or 43 x 34-cm GOS or cesium iodide (CsI) detectors. A smaller 28 x 23-cm CsI detector is also available, according to Shimadzu.

The company said its authorized distributor in Canada, Christie InnoMed of Saint-Eustache, Quebec, is now taking orders for the system.
