EOS gets Philadelphia installation

Orthopedic digital imaging firm EOS Imaging has won an installation of its digital radiography (DR) technology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

CHOP will use the EOS system to provide full-body, weight-bearing 2D/3D scans and enable better diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions.

EOS claims that its system acquires images of patients in standing or seated positions at radiation doses nine times lower than x-ray and 20 times lower than CT.
