Viztek lands FDA nod for DR panels

Imaging informatics firm Viztek has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its ViZion + DR line of digital radiography (DR) panels.

The new family of products includes multiple panels in tethered, wireless, and fixed configurations, according to the vendor. The panels are adaptable and require no generator interface.

The panels can be deployed in a range of applications, including new x-ray rooms, retrofit rooms, and mobile installations, the company said. Fixed panels will be available in Viztek's straight-arm and U-arm configurations.
