Siemens, Invivo partner on CAD for MRI

Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, and Invivo of Orlando, FL, have formed a strategic partnership to integrate Invivo's computer-aided-detection (CAD) system with Siemens' Magnetom MRI scanners for advanced breast MR imaging.

Invivo's DynaCAD will provide radiologists with more detailed information for breast MRI exams to assist doctors in detecting disease earlier. It will also streamline workflow by managing the large volume of images involved in studies.

Siemens will distribute the integrated technology worldwide for the company's line of Magnetom MRI systems, which include Trio, Espree, Avanto, and Symphony.
