Hologic rebrands 3D mammo exam

Women's imaging vendor Hologic has announced a new branding campaign for its digital breast tomosynthesis 3D mammography exam, now referring to the technology as Genius 3D Mammography.

Hologic will tout the fact that Genius 3D Mammography is only available on its Selenia Dimensions system, according to the company. The campaign will also focus on how 3D mammography enables earlier detection of breast cancer and is superior to 2D mammography, Hologic said.

In related news, Hologic recently installed its 2,000th 3D mammography system worldwide.
