Public service campaign targets cancer screening

Consumer digital health company Rally Health and the Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) initiative have teamed up to launch Stand Up and Pledge, a public service campaign aimed at getting people to pledge to get screened for cancer and to help them learn about recommended cancer screening methods.

After entering their age and gender on the campaign's website, participants will receive personalized recommendations for the types of cancer screenings and vaccinations they should consider getting, according to Rally Health and SU2C. In addition, they are given a list of daily actions -- along with links to detailed information and specific steps -- they can take to lower their risk for certain types of cancer.

Those who take the cancer screening pledge are also encouraged to invite their family and friends to take the pledge, Rally Health and SU2C said.
