Naviscan takes orders from Japan, Thailand

PET developer Naviscan has received an order for two positron emission mammography (PEM) scanners through its Japanese distributor SCETI, along with an order for one PEM system from Asras Medical, its distributor in Thailand.

One PEM scanner will be installed at Rajavithi Hospital in Bangkok, while the other two systems are set for installation at sites in Japan. Naviscan has had one system in use at Yuai Clinic in Yokohama for the past two years

All three systems are scheduled for shipment in the first quarter, with installation planned for early in the second quarter of this year.

Naviscan received marketing approval for its PEM scanner from Japan's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency last year.
