Siemens launches Frosk handheld scanner in Canada

Siemens Healthineers has won approval from Health Canada to market its handheld ultrasound unit, Acuson P500 Frosk, in that country.

The scanner comes in a compact notebook format of 15 inches (38 cm) and is designed for emergency departments and smaller, private clinics that need a point-of-care device. It features a touchscreen display with infrared technology, the company said.
