InSightec reports new BCBS coverage for MRgFUS

MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) developer InSightec said that five new independent Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) licensees have updated favorable coverage policies for the company's ExAblate MRgFUS procedure.

BCBS Louisiana, Florida Blue, Independence BCBS, Highmark BCBS, and Blue Shield of California have all recently provided positive coverage policies for MRgFUS treatments of pain palliation for bone metastases, adding additional coverage for an aggregate of 14.4 million members, InSightec said.
