Global Medical agrees to acquisition

Ultrasound and nuclear medicine service provider Global Medical Imaging (GMI) has been acquired by private investment firm Jordan Industries International.

GMI was founded in 2002 and specializes in the sale, service, repair, and installation of new and refurbished ultrasound and nuclear medicine equipment. The company's customer base ranges from private physician practices to integrated delivery networks.

The acquisition is part of Jordan Industries' plan to build a presence in the global medical equipment market. GMI will use capital from the deal to grow organically and through acquisition; Jordan Industries is pursuing additional deals in the medical equipment space.
