Rivanna Medical taps new CEO

Medical ultrasound developer Rivanna Medical has appointed a new president and CEO.

John A. Williams replaces company co-founder Will Mauldin, PhD. Mauldin will continue as chairman and chief technology officer for the firm.

Rivanna Medical is a private company based in Charlottesville, VA. It is developing its first product, Accuro, which has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for spinal anesthesia guidance as well as diagnostic imaging of the heart and abdomen.
