Mindray rolls out new M9 ultrasound system

Medical equipment manufacturer Mindray Medical International unveiled its M9 compact ultrasound system at the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) annual meeting this week in Chicago.

The M9 has a single crystal transducer with Mindray's 3T technology to support cardiac tissue tracking to assess myocardial function. It has a seven-second start-up from standby and more than three hours of battery life, all within a slim-profile ergonomic cart.

The system also includes Echo Boost cardiac image optimization, high dynamic range color flow Doppler, a full suite of transducers, a 15.6-inch high-resolution 1,920 x 1,080 HD monitor, a magnesium alloy case with spill-resistant keyboard, and standard built-in Wi-Fi.
