Mindray to show upgraded ultrasound system at AIUM

Mindray Medical International plans to unveil an upgrade to its Zonare ZS3 ultrasound system at the upcoming American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) meeting in Orlando, FL.

The new feature allows barcode-to-billing workflow to enhance billing, asset management, and transducer-specific tracking for improved disinfection management.

In addition, the device's contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) image optimization feature uses a digital synthetic spatial compounding technology to interrogate a region of interest with one acoustic wavefront, reducing the destruction of microbubbles. The system's software then processes the received echo information, resulting in better image clarity due to greater retention of microbubble volume, the company said.
