Conavi lands Health Canada nod for Foresight

Cardiovascular imaging technology developer Conavi Medical has received Health Canada approval for its Foresight intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) system.

Designed to guide minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, Foresight ICE is a catheter-based ultrasound system that can produce 2D and 3D ultrasound images around the circumference of the catheter's tip, according to the company. Foresight ICE comprises a dual-display Conavi Hummingbird console, Foresight ICE PIM, and Foresight ICE catheter, Conavi said.

Conavi previously received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for Foresight ICE.
