DOD awards purchasing contract to Hitachi Aloka

The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) has awarded Hitachi Aloka Medical America a purchasing contract that could be worth up to $162 million over the next 10 years.

The Defense Logistics Agency contract is for Hitachi Aloka to provide radiology equipment, accessories, and training support services to U.S. military and federal civilian agencies. The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract contains five base years and five option years and allots funds from fiscal 2017 through fiscal 2022. The completion date is February 28, 2022.

The Defense Logistics Agency received 27 bids for the contract.
