FDA clears Exact Imaging's microultrasound system

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared microultrasound technology developer Exact Imaging's ExactVu system.

ExactVu is designed for prostate imaging and biopsy guidance. It offers resolution down to 70 microns and operates on a frequency of 29 MHz, according to the firm.

Exact Imaging received the CE Mark for the device in November.
