Zonare taps new general counsel, secretary

Ultrasound technology developer Zonare Medical Systems has named Thomas Anderton as its new general counsel and secretary.

Anderton will be responsible for the company's legal and compliance functions as well as its patent portfolio, according to Zonare. Prior to joining the company full time, Anderton had overseen Zonare's legal compliance functions as a consultant.

He previously served as vice president of legal affairs at Presidio Pharmaceuticals and was head lawyer or chief patent counsel at Monogram Biosciences, Genencor, and Sugen.
