Canadian microultrasound technology developer Exact Imaging unveiled its ExactVu microultrasound platform for prostate imaging and biopsy at this week's American Urological Association (AUA) conference in New Orleans.
ExactVu offers 29-MHz microultrasound imaging to support transrectal targeted and systematic biopsies, according to the vendor. It can also accommodate conventional probes and frequencies for routine imaging applications such as transabdominal and other urological studies, Exact said.
The company claims that ExactVu's image resolution is comparable to that of MRI and a 300% improvement over conventional ultrasound exams.
