Ikonopedia adds to product portfolio

Breast imaging software developer Ikonopedia will spotlight four new breast imaging reporting modules and its new Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) management system at this week's Intensive Breast Ultrasound meeting in Arlington, VA.

The expanded suite of report generation software tools now includes screening MRI, diagnostic MRI, diagnostic ultrasound, and biopsy, in addition to screening and diagnostic mammography, Ikonopedia said. Context-specific images and educational materials are available via a reference library drawn from the teaching files and maintained by Ikonopedia founders and contributors, including Dr. László Tabár.

The diagnostic ultrasound module is based on the teaching files of Ikonopedia co-founder Dr. Thomas Stavros, while the new MRI modules were developed from the teaching libraries and knowledge base of co-founder Dr. Michael Vendrell and contributor Dr. Steven Harms.

The new MQSA notification and follow-up system can manage all patient tracking and communication, including letters, phone calls, and certified/registered mail based on customized user-defined protocols, Ikonopedia said. Patient notifications and letters can be personalized by BI-RADS category, breast density, exam type, and risk assessment score.

They can also be batch-printed with facility logos and government-mandated language, according to the firm. Furthermore, patients with dense breasts or a high risk score can receive a context-specific letter that's appropriate for them, Ikonopedia said.
