GE inks Ohio IT deal

GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has signed a seven-year contract with 165-bed Marion General Hospital in Marion, OH, to provide its Centricity Enterprise technology.

Under the pact, Marion will implement a clinical information system with remote services. The agreement also will provide access to healthcare and clinical information and enhanced tools for clinical decision support.

In addition, Marion will install barcode medication administration, multidisciplinary documentation, and pharmacy and orders capabilities.
